STEPS FOR WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE FIRST ENTRY POINT TO MEXICO (AIRPORT)

1) You will receive in the area, or at the first entry point at the airport, the Multiple Migration Form (FMM), which you must fill out properly and mark the "OTHERS" box in the purpose of the trip box and "EXCHANGE" in Maximum Stay up to 30 days.

2) At your first point of entry, show the Immigration Officer your Multiple Migration Form/FMM (which you filled out on the plane), your "TEMPORARY RESIDENT STUDENT" VISA (which is stuck in your passport), the letter of acceptance to the CoMO and mention that you are in Mexico to study. Recommendation: have with you all the documents that you presented at the Embassy or Consulate in case the immigration officer asks you for some additional documents.

3) Make sure that the Immigration Officer respects and marks the "EXCHANGE" option in the 30-day maximum stay area of your Migration Form (FMM). Also, make sure that the immigration officer stamps it above your student visa and NOT anywhere else in your passport.
It is vital that your Migratory Form (FMM) is marked as "CANJE" and your visa is stamped so that your stay in Mexico is regular. In the event that it is not marked as "CANJE" and your visa is not stamped, you must leave the country and upon your return you must make sure that this time the FMM is marked correctly.

*You must exit the first entry point with the FMM correctly marked.
